In a DC-coupled system, solar PV and batteries are directly linked within a hybrid inverter. It minimizes energy conversion losses during DC to AC and AC to DC, compared with a traditional AC-coupled system. The result is reduced energy loss, improved system efficiency, and increased revenue due to higher energy output.
Additionally, a DC-coupled system remarkably reduces installation and maintenance costs by decreasing the number of devices and system complexity.
